Sinopsis del juego
Left 4 Dead (abreviado como L4D) es un videojuego de disparos en primera persona de tipo survival horror. Fue desarrollado por Turtle Rock Studios, compañía comprada por Valve Software durante su desarrollo.Situada después de una pandemia apocalíptica, la trama del videojuego enfrenta a los cuatro protagonistas —llamados los «superviventes»— contra hordas de infectados. El juego cuenta con cuatro modos: un modo para un único jugador en el que los demás personajes son controlados por la computadora; un modo para cuatro jugadores, con campañas cooperativas; un modo para ocho jugadores; y un modo de supervivencia para cuatro jugadores. En todos los modos, la inteligencia artificial, apodada el «director», controla el ritmo de la trama y el lugar de los objetos, para intentar crear una experiencia dinámica.
Left 4 Dead recibió buenas críticas de los medios especializados desde su lanzamiento, con alabanzas por sus cambios en las repeticiones, centradas en el juego cooperativo y la experiencia parecida a la de las películas.
